The NASA Langley Research Center’s Veteran’s Information Support Network (VISN) is made up of Military Veterans and others interested in Military Veteran’s issues. We aim to enhance Langley’s workforce and culture by fostering communications, collaboration and outreach through engagement.

Our goal is to share information, promote awareness and offer opportunities to collaborate on issues facing Military Veterans in our workforce.  VISN offers a unique venue for outreach and coordination of related activities for our Military Veteran employees and their advocates.

How We Serve:

VISN is primarily a virtual engagement activity across NASA Langley, providing opportunities Military Veterans and others interested in Military Veteran’s issues to stay connected to each other.  Furthermore, the group benefits by learning about other Military Veterans at Langley, what kind of work they are doing and offers a way to get connected. The group also serves as a means for senior leaders communicate with and learn from the Military Veteran community.

Knowledge Sharing / Virtual – Information sharing for Veterans benefits, opportunities and local activities (all members are participants)

Deployment Team – Members interested in providing support for our workforce members (reservists) and their families, when they deploy (members volunteer on an as needed basis)

Ready Group – Members that have indicated they will participate in events, when requested, to support Veterans in our workforce or in the local area (members volunteer on an as needed basis)

Who Can Serve:

VISN is open to contractors and civil servants who have or are currently serving in the Military.  Additionally, any others interested in Military Veteran issues are welcome to join.  VISN is also open to students, interns and employees looking to join the discussion, get involved and make a difference.
