Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO)

The ODEO office promotes a work environment that is free of unlawful discrimination and sexual harassment, accessible to individuals with disabilities, ensuring fair and equitable treatment for all employees while valuing workforce diversity, and fostering mutual respect in an effort to achieve the mission of NASA and the Langley Research Center.

ODEO is a customer-focused organization responsible for functions that have been divided into two main categories to delineate mandated activities: Workforce Diversity and Disability Program and Dispute Resolution and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Counseling Program.

  • Workforce Diversity and Disability Program includes the Affirmative Employment Program, Individuals with Disabilities Program, Disabled Veterans Program, Federal Women’s Program, and Hispanic Employment Program.
  • Dispute Resolution and EEO Counseling Program includes Discrimination Complaints Processing, EEO Counseling, and Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) through Mediation.  The program manager is also responsible for the Asian/Pacific Islander and the Native American Program.
