Program Specialist

Ms. Annie Delgado-Holton serves as Program Specialist of the Safety and Mission Assurance Directorate Office at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). In this capacity, she oversees the financial and workforce activities of the Directorate as well as other administrative duties in support of the Directorate.

Prior to her current position, she serves as Project Control Specialist in the Space Flight Systems Directorate’s Project Planning and Control Office (PPCO). She was responsible for budget planning and analysis supporting the Exploration Technology Development Program (ETDP). In a previous assignment, she was selected into NASA’s STEP Upward Mobility Program in the capacity of Project Control Specialist in the Microgravity Science Division.

Ms. Delgado-Holton began her career with NASA Glenn as an Executive Support Assistant in the Aeronautics Directorate responsible for a wide variety of administrative, logistical and organizational functions. She served as a member of the Executive Assistant’s Leadership Team (EALT), and newsletter editor for the Business Professional Women chapter at NASA GRC. Additionally, she supported the Integrated Desktop Environment (IDE) project in 1996 when the desktop deployment and configuration of computing began throughout the Center.

Supporter of OEO & Educational Outreach Programs:
She has made major contributions in support of various Center education and outreach initiatives. As a former Chair of the Hispanic Advisory Council (HAC) supporting the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs (OEOP), she led the coordination of the cultural annual Hispanic Heritage observance event and other educational activities sponsored by HAC. She launched the first “Esperanza Community Dialogue” to bring forth to the Center Esperanza scholarship recipients and their parents to learn and discuss the great opportunities offered at NASA GRC. Esperanza is a non-profit organization in the Cleveland area, whose main goal is to provide students with the necessary resources to excel in their college careers.

As a member of LATINA (Leading and Advocating Together in New Arenas) a non-profit volunteer organization, she advocated for the inclusion of a Hispanic woman into the Ohio’s Women’s Hall of Fame. She also advocated in the planning of a special event showcasing “Extraordinary Women in Science and Education” at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Educational Background:
She previously attended Kent State University and completed Business Management courses at Myers University, including NASA training courses. She is highly motivated to develop her personal growth and advance her career path demonstrating considerable initiative, enthusiasm, and innovativeness since assuming her civil service position. She has earned several performance awards for her exemplary contributions.

Ms. Delgado-Holton was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Puerto Rico. “The experience of learning a new language and culture was a challenging time. However, the strength and determination of her parents to move to a new country proved to have advantages of an enriched environment. Hence, I celebrate my Hispanic heritage by inspiring others to share, participate, and advocate while empowering them to succeed in their personal and professional life.”
